One of the most important chapters in his career came during his time with Felchlin Switzerland, where he served as Corporate Pastry Chef for more than 15 years. Felchlin is known around the world for its premium chocolate and commitment to quality, making it a respected name among chocolatiers and pastry chefs.

During his time there, Anil worked closely with leading chocolatiers and pâtissiers from different parts of the world. This experience gave him a deep understanding of fine chocolate, craftsmanship and the attention to detail needed to create exceptional pastry products.

Bringing World-Class Learning to India

For many years, aspiring pastry chefs in India had limited access to specialised European pastry training. Learning often meant travelling abroad, which was not possible for everyone.

Recognising this gap, Chef Anil Rohira helped create something meaningful.

As Co-Founder and Director of the School for European Pastry, also known as SEP, he has played an important role in making international-level pastry education available closer to home. With campuses in Mumbai and Gurugram, SEP has become a place where young chefs can learn professional baking and pastry techniques inspired by European traditions.

Chef Anil believes pastry is not only about making desserts look beautiful. It is about understanding ingredients, respecting techniques and learning patience. Through SEP, students are trained to build strong foundations while also finding their own creative style.

For many young chefs, learning under someone with his level of experience has been a chance to understand what true craftsmanship looks like.

More Than a Chef

While Chef Anil Rohira is widely known for his pastry and chocolate expertise, his work goes far beyond the kitchen.

Over the years, he has also been deeply involved in product development, helping brands and professionals create products that meet high standards of taste and quality. His understanding of ingredients and techniques has made him a trusted voice in the industry.

At the same time, he has built a strong reputation as a mentor. Many chefs speak about his ability to teach with patience and clarity, helping them grow both professionally and personally.

For Chef Anil, teaching is not only about passing on technical knowledge. It is about helping people build confidence, think creatively and understand the discipline behind great pastry work.

Setting the Stage for Something Sweet

With chocolate and pastry gaining growing attention in India, events that celebrate craftsmanship and creativity have become more important than ever.

This makes Chef Anil Rohira’s continued association as an Advisor for Salon Du Chocolat – India especially meaningful.

As one of the world’s most recognised celebrations of chocolate and pastry, Salon Du Chocolat brings together professionals, brands and chocolate lovers to explore innovation, skill and artistry.

Having already played an important role in shaping the 2026 edition, Chef Anil continues to bring valuable insight to the event as it looks ahead to 2027. His role as an advisor will help further strengthen the vision of building a leading platform for chocolate and pastry excellence in India.

His experience working with some of the best minds in the field, along with his passion for education, makes him an important part of what the event hopes to achieve.

After more than three decades in the world of pastry and chocolate, Chef Anil Rohira continues to inspire through both his work and his approach to teaching.

His story is not only about awards, titles or years of experience. It is about commitment. It is about sharing knowledge, helping others grow and staying true to the craft.

Whether through SEP, his years with Felchlin Switzerland or his work as an advisor and mentor, Chef Anil has spent much of his life helping raise standards in pastry and chocolate. And perhaps that is what makes his journey so special.

Chef Anil Rohira remains someone who believes in skill, patience and the simple idea that great work begins with strong foundations. For the many chefs who have learned from him and the many more who continue to look up to him, his influence reaches far beyond the kitchen.
